Ellen Barlow is an experienced writer and editor specializing in health, biomedical science, public health and higher education.
She is co-author of “Every Woman’s Guide to Diabetes” (Harvard University Press, 2007) and contributed to both “Our Bodies, Ourselves: Menopause” (chapters on eating well and staying active) and “Ourselves: Growing Older.”
A writer and editor at Harvard Medical School for 15 years, she has freelanced since 1998, creating magazine and web articles, web projects, brochures and reports for Massachusetts General Hospital, Joslin Diabetes Center, MIT, Mount Auburn Hospital and the Harvard School of Public Health, among others.
She is also the website and e-newsletter editor for Health Professionals for the 21st Century, a global effort to transform the way health professionals are educated.
