Sarah Cox has been working in community and women’s health for over 30 years.
During those years, she has had the opportunity to coach and support women and their families in making good health care decisions for themselves, and helping them toward greater wellness and autonomy.
The majority of her clinical work has been with poor, migrant populations. She believes that the food we eat and the way we live are the most critical factors in maintaining and improving health, and that it is the duty of trusted health care providers to be straight with women about what will help and what will likely hurt them.
One of the best things she does best for her patients is simply listen — and both patient and provider learn.
