It’s official: Washington knows we’re coming.
Myhags kicked off the campaign Monday at the National Press Club, joined by some of the smartest and most influential experts on women’s health. The campaign aims to deliver “Our Bodies, Ourselves” to every member of the U.S. House and Senate.
Judy Norsigian, My founder and executive director, spoke about the , particularly in the wake of some outlandish and indeed dangerous comments about women’s bodies.
Cindy Pearson, executive director of the , said, “What seems to be going on somewhat right now is public figures’ willingness to make statements of fact that are so badly wrong.”
Other speakers included Diana Zuckerman, president of the ; Erin Thornton, executive director of ; Vivian Pinn, former director (retired) of the and Marion McCartney, CNM, a pioneer nurse-midwife who founded the first freestanding birth center in the D.C. area.
